You can send money to any individual or business in India including your own NRE/NRO bank accounts for personal reasons such as family maintenance, investments, paying insurance premiums, purchase real estate, etc.

Registration
Signing up for Money2India is easy and takes a few minutes. Follow the steps below to register:
1.Visit our website or download our smartphone app from Apple app store or Google Play store to register.
2.Create your account using email address, phone number and a few basic details.
3.Verify your account using one time password (OTP) sent to your registered US mobile number or email and create a password.
4.Fill in your profile details and US address.
5.Add and verify your bank details online from which money is to be sent.
Congratulations!! You are now all set to make your first transfer. Just add your recipient/beneficiary's details to whom you want to send money to in India and submit your money transfer request.

If you are an existing NRI account holder of ICICI Bank, you may login directly using your ICICI Bank NRI account internet banking credentials.
Please enter your name exactly as mentioned in your US ID proof or in your SSN card.
If you have a middle name in your US ID proofs you may enter your middle name either in the first name field or in the last name field.
Please note space is not allowed in either the first name or last name and hence to enter your middle name just write it together either with your first name or with your last name in the designated fields.

You can add your bank account for sending money to India by providing the following information:
1.Routing Number
2.Bank name
3.Account Type
4.Account Number
Once your bank account is added, you will need to verify your bank account by logging in your bank account through our secure portal to authorize ACH debits for sending money to India. If your bank account verification fails, we may ask you to upload recent bank statement and validate your bank account through sub-dollar verification.
Please note your name in your bank account should match exactly with the name in your Money2India profile.
You can add more than one US bank account. However, you will need to verify your bank account every time when you add a new bank account.

To add a recipient or beneficiary to send money to in India, you will need to provide following information of your recipient:
1.Account number, where money is to be credited
2.IFSC code or branch details of recipient’s bank (for Non ICICI Bank accounts only)
3.Name
4.Mobile Number
5.Email Address
6.Address
You can add multiple beneficiaries or recipients to receive money in India.

In most cases, bank account verification can be done online instantaneously by adding your bank account and logging in directly with your bank credentials to verify your account.
However, in some cases online verification may not be possible. In such a scenario, you will be asked to upload a recent statement (less than 3 months old) or voided check of your bank account from which you wish to transfer money.
Sub Dollar Verification process is used to verify your bank account in which:
1.We will credit your linked bank account with two micro deposits (less than a dollar) usually within 2 to 4 business days of you adding a bank account, subject to verification.
2.You will also receive an email and SMS confirming credit of the two deposits to your account.
3.Sign in to your Money2India account.
4.Go to profile - Manage account - Manage my bank account - Select the bank account for which verification is to be done.
5.Verify your bank account by entering the exact amount of each of the micro-deposits.
6.Your bank account is ready for money transfers.
Pro Tip
Enter the exact values of micro-deposits credited to your account. Your account may be temporarily disabled after 3 unsuccessful attempts.
Please contact us through email at nri@icicibank.com or call us at +1-866-424-2448 to reinitiate the process for verification of your bank account or you can delete the account and try again. Kindly note that the micro deposits will be withdrawn from your account within a few days.
In most cases no documents are required to register but sometimes we may request for additional documents to ensure compliance with USA and India regulations.
You may be asked to upload any one or more of the documents as mentioned below:
- Copy of your social security number card
- Date of birth proof (valid US driving license or real ID or passport)
- Address proof (utility bills in your name or valid driving license with current address)
- Bank account statement or a voided check of the bank account from which money is to be sent. For trust accounts, please ensure your name is mentioned in the account statement or on the voided check.
- Kindly ensure that the document you upload is legible and is not password protected. The formats accepted for upload are PDF / JPG / JPEG / TIFF / PNG / OXPS with maximum size limit of 5 MB per document.
You will receive an email once your documents are verified.
Please note the list of documents shown above is only indicative and you may be asked for additional documents on a case to case basis.
If you are an existing NRI bank account holder of ICICI Bank you can register as mentioned below:
Go to the login page of Money2India and select "Login using ICICI Bank NRI account Internet Banking credentials". Your user ID and password will be same as your ICICI bank NRI account user ID and password.
You may also change the password for your Money2India account by clicking, “Are you an ICICI Bank NRI account holder who wishes to set Money2India password?” and following the steps as shown on screen.
Money Transfers
There are three types of transfer options that are auto selected by system basis certain eligibility parameters such as loyalty tier, transfer amount, etc. You will be shown the transfer type and the time taken to credit your recepient in India on the review page before you submit your order:
1. Express Transfer : Transaction is usually completed within 4 hours using ACH authorization.
2. E- Transfer : Transaction is usually completed within 5 business days using ACH authorization.
3. Power Transfer : This is typically used for high value transfers and requires you to send a domestic wire transfer to ICICI Bank account held with Bank of New York Mellon to initiate the money transfer to your recipient or beneficiary in India. Power transfers are usually completed within 1 business day of receiving the funds from your bank in United States.

2. To check your loyalty tier, login into your account and then click on the ribbon icon on the top right side of the page or on the "☰” icon in the top right section of your app and then click M2I Rewards.

Power Transfer is a type of transfer option typically used to send a large sum of money or in cases where you have reached the maximum daily, weekly or monthly limits allowed. To send money through power transfer, you will need to complete a domestic wire transfer to ICICI Bank's Money2India account with Bank of New York Mellon.

Detailed steps on how to complete a Power Transfer are mentioned as below:
1. Login into your Money2India account - you will land on the send money page once you are logged in.
2. Book your rate
- Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
- You will be shown the rate and the amount which will be credited to your beneficiary/recipient in India.
- If you have an eligible promo code you can enter the promo code and click send money
- If you are eligible to send money using power transfer, you will see a pop up which will redirect you to power transfer facility.
3. Initiate the Power Transfer
- Select/add account from which the money is to be transferred and add the recipient/beneficiary information.
- Select the purpose of transferring money and source of funds from drop down menu.
- Review and confirm the transaction with one time password sent to your mobile number.
- Once OTP is validated, your power transfer is initiated (but not completed).
4. Completing the Power Transfer
- You will receive an email confirming that the transfer is in process along with next steps. You can also download the receipt and details of next steps on the Power Transfer confirmation page by clicking on "Print Receipt" or in "My Transactions" section by clicking the icon "?" and "View receipt".
- You will see the date and time till when we will hold the rate at which you booked your power transfer in your receipt. Your funds must be received by ICICI Bank before the validity date and time shown to you to ensure funds are transferred to your beneficiary in India at the rate booked by you. In case there is a delay in ICICI Bank receiving the funds from your end, the rate at which you booked the transfer may change.
- Wire the funds electronically or by visiting your bank branch. Ensure that the domestic wire is done from the same bank account you used to book the power transfer else the transaction may get rejected. ICICI Bank account details are mentioned below:
- Please ensure to include the Money2India Tracking No. which begins with "M2X" in Sender to Receiver information (Payment Detail/Reference/Message to Recipient) section while initiating the domestic transfer. This is important as it helps us to reconcile funds and complete your transaction without any delay.
- You will receive an email confirmation of the transfer completed by you within 24 hours of ICICI Bank receiving the funds.
- You can also track your transaction in the Money2India mobile app or website by logging in your account. The system may take 24 hours to update status of your money transfer once funds are received by ICICI Bank.

5. Money is credited to your recipient’s account usually within 1 business days of ICICI Bank receiving funds.
You may be asked to upload proof of funds (For example, your US tax document or income document or real estate sale document or any other as specified).
You can cancel your money transfer request within 30 minutes of submitting your request:
On the website
- Go to My transactions section in the main menu in your account on website
- You can now select the "Cancel Transaction" from menu option of the transaction which you want to cancel.
On Money2India mobile app
- Click on “My Transactions” in the taskbar displayed at the bottom of your screen or click/swipe left on the "☰" icon on the top right section of your app and then click on “My Transactions”.
- You can now select the "Cancel Transaction" option from the “⋮” menu option of the transaction which you want to cancel.
Money2India provides the option to set up recurring transfers. This feature allows you to schedule regular transfers at predetermined intervals, such as monthly or quarterly, making it convenient for repetitive transactions.
You will get this option on the transaction page every time you initiate a money transfer (except in case of power transfer). Just select "recurring" under frequency of transfer and your recurring transfers will be scheduled as per your desired frequency and start date. The exchange rate applicable will be the regular exchange rate as applicable at the time of transaction.
You can cancel a recurring transaction by visiting the "My transactions" page in your account. Please note transfers once initiated cannot be cancelled.
You can track your money transfer from "Track my transaction" tab of My transaction menu or in the My transactions section of the app. You will also receive email confirmations once your transfer is complete.

In case of any missing information or clarification required, the transaction is put on hold and relevant documents are requested. You will receive a communication to upload your documents on your registered email ID. Once relevant documents are submitted, the transaction is processed.
Your transfer may get rejected in case the requested documents are not provided or if there is an issue with any of the documents provided.

Alternatively, you can also reach out to our customer support for any delays.
Once a transfer request is initiated, your transaction will be completed at the exchange rate shown to you. Your beneficiary account will be credited with the exact amount shown to you when transaction was booked.
For Power Transfers:
In case of power transfers, an exchange rate validity date and time is shown in the form available for download on the review page or under "My Transactions“ and also communicated to you on your registered email address.
If the funds are received after the validity date and time in ICICI Bank’s account held with Bank of New York Mellon, your transfer request, at our sole discretion, may either be cancelled and the funds will be returned back to you, or we may process the transfer request at the exchange rate as applicable on the date and time of the conversion of your funds.
My Account
You can update the following details under "My Profile" section of your account:
1) Address
2) Mobile Number
3) Email
Please note any other details such as Date of Birth, Social Security Number, User ID or Name cannot be updated.

If you have made a change in your mobile number or your email address, you will not be able to initiate any transfer request for the next 24 hours to ensure security of your account.
You can recover your User ID by clicking "Trouble Logging In" on the Login page followed by clicking "Forgot User ID.”
You will be required to validate your mobile number with One Time Password for security reasons. Once verified, your user ID will be sent to your registered email ID.

If you forgot your password, click "Trouble Logging In" on the Login page followed by "Forgot Password". You can setup a new password in any of the following ways:
Using OTP: You will need to enter your User ID which is your registered email address and validate One Time Password sent to your registered mobile number.
OR
Using Registered Email ID: You can also reset your password by choosing to send a reset password link to your registered email address by selecting to reset password using registered email ID.

You can unlock your account by clicking "Trouble Logging In" on the Login page followed by clicking "User ID Locked". There are two ways to unlock your user id:
Using OTP : You will need to enter your User ID which is your registered email address and validate One Time Password sent to your registered phone number.
OR
Using Registered Email ID: You can unlock your user id by choosing to send a link to your registered email address by selecting the method "using registered email ID" on the user id locked page.

Loyalty Tiers and Promo Codes
All Money2India customers who complete 2 successful transactions are auto enrolled into Money2India Loyalty program at no extra cost.
You can move up in the loyalty tier status by completing required number of transactions and completing the minimum cumulative value of transaction required for each tier.

There is no reset period for your loyalty tier status. Once you achieve a loyalty tier, you will continue to enjoy the benefits of your tier till you are upgraded to a higher tier.
No, you will continue to remain in your current tier once you achieve it till the time you qualify for a higher tier.

Yes, you can have both accounts - Individual as well as Business.
However, for business related transfers, you will need to use the Business account.
