Foreign Currency Cheque

If you are receiving foreign currency checks from abroad, ICICI Bank Money2India offers you an easy way to get quick credit into your ICICI Bank account. All you need to do is to walk into an ICICI Bank Branch and drop off your check.


What can you deposit?
We accept Checks, Travellers' checks and Demand Drafts to Cashier orders, Pay Orders, Banker’s checks, etc.

When do you get your money?
Based on certain conditions, the time in which money gets credited to your account ranges from 21 days to that very instant!

Instant Credit
You can get instant credit into your bank account, the moment you walk into an ICICI Bank branch.

Credit in Eight Days
Credit is available within 8 days of depositing your instrument at the ICICI bank branch. It is available for instruments drawn in the following currencies and countries:
- USD in US
- GBP in UK
- EURO in EU
- AUD in Australia
- SGD in Singapore
- CAD in Canada

Day 21 Credit
You can avail of the 21-day credit period for any instrument with which you may walk in, irrespective of whether you are an old or a new ICICI Bank account holder except in cases where the instrument is sent on collection. In such cases credit is given when the Bank realizes it.


What are the charges you incur?
Free for Credits into ICICI Bank NRI Accounts

For Credits into ICICI Bank Domestic Accounts
Provisional Credit (credit in 8 days) - 0.25%, subject to a minimum of Rs. 350.

Non-Provisional Credit (credit in 21 days) - 0.125%, subject to minimum of Rs.250. For FC Checks sent on Collection, courier charges as incurred will be additionally levied, wherever applicable.

For Credits into ICICI Bank EEFC A/cs
Provisional Credit (credit in 8 days) - 0.25% and subject to minimum of USD 8, EUR 6, GBP 4, CAD 9, AUD 10, SGD 13, AED 29 and JPY 897.

Non-Provisional Credit (credit in 21 days) - 0.125% and subject to minimum of: USD 6, EUR 5, GBP 3, CAD 6, AUD 7, SGD 9, AED 21 and JPY 640. For FC Checks sent on collection, courier charges as incurred will be levied additionally, wherever applicable.
